The Recovery Association Project (RAP)
is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a
vehicle for people in recovery to speak out
on substance abuse related issues.

Recovery Association Project

...challenging the stigma...

The strength and experience of people in recovery, and those affected by addiction and alcoholism, will foster the foundation and growth of this organization by building relationships with each other and creating alliances with other community organizations.

The commitment and collective voice of RAP members will challenge the stigma associated with addiction and alcoholism to create an environment where people in recovery can share their success and advocate for progressive change in substance abuse related policy.

...organizing for power...

RAP is led by people in recovery and their supporters who organize the recovery community through County Core Teams and house meetings. RAP is currently organizing in 4 counties in the Portland/Vancouver metropolitan area and 5 counties in the Mid Willamette valley region.
