Services

There are, the four fixed, universal goals which RAP shares with all other organizations involved in addiction services.  They are to provide adequate services along the trajectory of recovery: Detoxification facilities, Treatment centers, Transitional Housing, and Recovery Services. RAP's focus is on recovery services.

Permanent Housing

RAP provides permanent housing through its Oregon Recovery Homes (ORH) program funded by the State of Oregon.  RAP provides management services and administers the loan fund which is used to facilitate additional housing.  ORH houses over 1300 adults and 325 children.

Mentoring

RAP provides two kinds of mentoring services.

a.       Post incarceration mentoring for clients with addiction issues in Washington County.

b.      Peer mentoring for life skills which takes place mostly in the individual houses.

Community Organizing

RAP feels that the recovery community needs to advocate for itself.  This has a number of advantages.

a.       It helps break down the isolation that afflicts many recovering addicts.

b.      It teaches individuals life skills and provides those in recovery with opportunities to develop self-reliance and self confidence.

c.       It guarantees that the issues being addressed are those issues which are truly important to the recovery community.
