At our 4th annual event in 2005, nearly 1,500 people felt the power of Hands Across the Bridge, and over 1,000 celebrated the Recovery Association Project’s success at Recovery Rocks! In 2004, over 1400 people recovering from alcohol and other drug addictions, their families, friends, and others supporting freedom from addiction, gathered on both sides of the Columbia River to join hands across the Interstate 5 bridge. Both Washington and Oregon united making a powerful statement that Recovery is possible and to kick-off September as National Recovery Month.
